Milling

Our team utilizes specialized equipment, to remove the top layer of asphalt.  Our milling machine pulverizes the damaged surface to repurpose it for the new layer.

Asphalt Overlay

An asphalt overlay consists of paving a second layer of asphalt over an existing layer. Asphalt overlay is often performed when the existing asphalt is in an overall good condition but may be developing problem areas. In sections where extensive cracking, crumbling or sinking has occurred, pieces may need to first be cut out and patched before a new layer can be paved.

Grading

THE LIFE SPAN OF YOUR ASPHALT ROAD, DRIVEWAY, PARKING LOT OR ANY ASPHALT SURFACE WILL LARGELY DEPEND ON THE SUPPORT STRUCTURE YOU PLACE BELOW THE SURFACE. THERE ARE TWO MAIN FACTORS THAT WILL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A QUALITY, LONG LASTING ASPHALT PAVING PROJECT AND ONE THAT WILL ONLY LAST A YEAR OR TWO, THAT'S WHY ASPHALT NW IS HERE FOR YOU!
FIRST, IS THE QUALITY OF YOUR BASE MATERIAL COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS "ROAD BASE".
THE SECOND FACTOR IS HOW WELL WATER DRAINS FROM YOUR ASPHALT SURFACE, THIS IS REFERRED TO AS "GRADING". IF WATER DOESN'T PROPERLY DRAIN FROM THE SURFACE OF YOUR ASPHALT, IT WILL EVENTUALLY PENETRATE THE ASPHALT AND OVERSATURATE THE BASE MATERIAL TURNING IT INTO MUD. OVER TIME THIS AREA WILL BREAKDOWN. MAKING SURE THAT YOUR ASPHALT PROJECT IS PROPERLY GRADED WILL SAVE MONEY IN YOUR INVESTMENT OVER THE FUTURE OF YOUR ASPHALT MAINTENANCE.
